Jill is a master strategist, seeing instantly that what others are talking themselves into has ramifications they didn't consider and how an action could affect a key strategy. And rather than keeping silent, if her perception doesn't match the planners' enthusiasm, Jill skillfully and persuasively speaks truth to power. Jill's positive energy is an effective teaching method, helping others learn and feel good about what they do. She also has an organized pattern of accomplishment, but is never afraid to consider new pathways to getting a task done or a strategy implemented.

Jill is my communications guru. She excels in theory and in practice--and she's a joy to work with. She listens, she guides, she creates. She makes it look easy, when I'm thinking it's impossible. What's more, she's a fine writer and an outstanding editor.
My first experience with Jill was in 2002, when she, with unmatched energy, passion, and enthusiasm, managed to corral 100+ members of a professional organization from all over the very large state of California, to work together as a team to host a very large school public relations national conference in San Diego. The result was magical. The conference was the largest ever at that time. The personal camaraderie and professional teamwork that arose during that year of planning served to grow our state chapter in unanticipated ways. That experience has been an inspiration in my work and leadership ever since. Jill is the professional I aspire to become. She is a caring mentor, a passionate leader, a consummate professional, and a result-driven public relations professional like no other.
Brilliant, cognizant and incredibly genuine, Jill is a straight shooter who always speaks the truth and brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to everything she does ... with a twist of humor. She will forever be one of my favorite professionals and someone I aspire to emulate in my own career.

Our consulting firm became the online target of slanderous accusations fueled by a bitter competitor. I’ve worked in marketing and social media for a long time and I knew developing and implementing a well-crafted plan on your own is especially difficult when you’re upset and can’t think past the sting of an insult. I knew immediately that I needed to work with Jill if I wanted to handle this crisis appropriately and with class.
Jill offered us so much more than a plan to respond to the competitor and their internet trolls. She helped us address the current crisis and then skillfully redirected our focus to the long-term goal of building a superior brand. After every conversation with Jill, we felt better and better. In the end, we were extremely pleased with the outcome - we could even see some humor in the situation. Her ability to think clearly and react appropriately when faced with a problem, project and/or PR crisis is incredible. Best of all, Jill has a delightful sense of humor and is a joy to be around. Whether you need a long term PR strategy or help with a sudden issue, Jill Wagner is the person you want on your team.
